X-500 tells the story of three characters living in different countries, but united by their unique relationship with death, migration, and their need for transformation. María arrives in Montreal from Manila to live with her grandmother after her mother’s death and struggles to adapt. Alex, a young Afro-Colombian, is deported from the United States to Colombia, only to find that his old neighborhood is now controlled by criminals. David leaves his village after his father’s death in search of a better future in Mexico City. Three stories, three countries, one united narrative.
