Boavita is a conservative, Catholic rural town nestled in the mountains, where Miss María lives. She is 45 years old and was born as a boy. What seemed like just another life submerged in gender and identity conflicts hides a bitter and unimaginable family history, steeped in hatred from its deepest roots, with Miss María being the scapegoat even before stepping into this world. Yet, her power is nourished by those very same forces, the animals, and the mountain. No darkness has been strong enough to bring her down, to eclipse her.
