He thinks he’s at the front of the line, but soon realizes he is only in the middle. The fact that there are only two thousand pressure cookers doesn’t deter the more than 12,000 people who are lining up just in Cartagena.

During the peace negotiations in Colombia, a group of women and men find themselves in the midst of uncertainty, dreaming of a life without weapons. They wander through their loves, their fears, and their doubts, because peace also brings fear. This guerrilla command reveals the intimacy of human beings who tremble at the possibility of other winds, some of which will also be overwhelming and uncontrollable.

Sumercé

Sumercé is the echo of the Colombian farmer, the story told through three voices of those who rise, walk with conviction, and fight to prevent the plundering of the páramos, the water, and the foundational roots of our people. Those powerful forces, willing to fracture the future of the towns, are also confronted by resilient and unbreakable human beings. They are the noise of the mountain that doesn’t crumble, remaining combative and powerful. Sumercé is synonymous with the people who resist; it is a word whose enslaved and submissive meaning was stolen. Sumercé is a struggle, a fight to remain standing.
