Roque ventures into the Amazon jungle to escape the crisis in Venezuela and his alcoholism. Amidst the jungle, he tries to rebuild a house that once belonged to him years ago, but his alcohol withdrawal torments him with recurring hallucinatory states.

His desire for redemption becomes further distorted when he decides to join old friends to work in an illegal gold mine controlled by armed forces. The violence surrounding the mining work ultimately pulls him into a cycle that consumes him from within.

Strength will be necessary to emerge from the darkness and start over. The film is based on the true story of the filmmaker's father, who also stars in the movie.
